Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Well, I can't review the food here because I didn't actually get to eat anything. My bf and I stopped by here last night to grab a bite to eat because I was craving Mexican food. The first thing we noticed was that it was loud as hell. Apparently last night was mariachi night, which is great and all, but we literally couldn't have a conversation because it was so incredibly loud. We were seated quickly so we figured we would just eat quickly and leave. Wrong. The server came over about 10 minutes after we were seated, which was awhile but I understood because they were very busy and I could see that he had at least one very large party. We ordered drinks and food at the same time then we waited...and waited...and waited. We left after 20 minutes of just waiting for drinks. The host and server were friendly and the atmosphere was okay but the service was slower than we were willing to deal with on a Monday night.

How does one write a review when the service is awesome, the prices are awesome, the seating and timing was awesome -but the food was so bad I didn't finish it? I had chicken mole. Maybe nachos would have rated a 3 star, but no one in the group had above 2 star food- yet it was fast, cheap, and with great service. And great location and parking. Does that merit 3 star when you couldn't finish your meal because the food was barely palpable? My motto is "There is no substitute for great service." But the food has to be edible (preferably take-home able if you can't finish it or reduce the quantity to improve the quality). This was a hard review to write. I will be following to see if they improve the quality of both the chicken and the mole sauce. *We didn't have any alcoholic drinks.

Free chips and salsa, fun Mexican decor, large menu, large food portions, and reasonably priced. Not everything we've ordered here is great but if you go enough times you'll find your own go to items.

I believe in Tacos, the Torta almighty, Caliente of Heaven and Earth and in Carne Asada, the only meat, conceived by all meats, magic beef slow-roasted with the tears of a virgin unicorn, which was lovingly served on a bed of corn tortillas. As the Carne Asada descended into my stomach...I arose toward heaven and sat among the Gods of Salsa Roja, and Verde. The salsa gods declared to me "Only the combined second comings of Christ, Buddah and Bruce Lee could rival the greatness of 3 Margaritas! Go now...Go and share your new-found knowledge with the world known as the Yelp!" PS. Ask for Lucia...she can bring the chips and salsa like a boss!

We have been coming to this location for the past three years. The food is always consistent and very tasty. The staff is always attentive. On Mondays there is a really cool live band.

I think the food is really good... The service sucks here and the don't tell u about the flat happy hour beer... We only wanted one for the price .. and they brought us Two .. . Deceiving

Great find. We flew in to DEN and were on our way from the airport to Breck, and randomly picked this place. It was way better than the 3.5 stars would have you believe. Very nice interior, great food, good service. All at reasonable prices. Tip: ask for the hot salsa. It was some of the best hot salsa I've had in the past couple of years. I had the fish tacos, but forgot to request grilled/not fried. They were still tasty, but next time I'll get them grilled.

My lunch crew went here one work day for a good meal. Complimentary chips and salsa to start, and heaping portions of food for lunch. Everything was delicious. I tried the avocado tostada, it was really yummy. The servers were really friendly, bilingual, and just a little slow. They have lower priced lunch specials, which are definitely worth ordering. We'll be back.

My boyfriend and I went here because we had a coupon for buy one get one free combo. It was fairly mediocre. Nothing was particularly fantastic. I got the combo #23, which came with an enchilada, a chile rellano and a tamale. I tasted the enchilada, and I wasn't disappointed. I got a beef enchilada, and their beef was flavored well, but it wasn't anything spectacular, or anything that I would rave about. My chile rellano was good, but it wasn't really a traditional type chile rellano, it was more heavy. I was most disappointed in my tamale. I am obsessed with tamales. Tamales and tacos are pretty much my life. The tamale was HUGE, so I of course was uber excited. It was super MEH. It had shredded beef inside, and it was not tender like most meat in tamales. It was very strange. Although my experience wasn't terrible, and the service was alright, I don't think I would go back because the food was just not tasty enough.

I came here with my brother last week, and the service was super! I knew the other night was a fluke. :)

Not good when we went. Been to other locations and been super happy. Food was cold and service was sketchy.

This is where I love to go after a long day of work for a few beers and wonderful Mexican food. The staff is always friendly and courteous and, as a regular, they know me by name. I usually get off of work after nine and they always stay late to accommodate me. I recommend the pollo culichi - rich and filling - or the bacon wrapped shrimp ( I forget what they are called). If you are a meat lover like me there are not too many choices - the t-bone is 1/2 inch thick. But other than that a great place to get your fill.

This is one of my favorite Mexican places I ever tried. We were a huge group and were yelping for some restaurants that were open late and found this gem! The staff is super friendly and accommodated our huge group even in the last minute. The food tasted amazing. They did not serve us some stale food just because they were closing soon. And the waiter was super friendly. The place looks very colorful and inviting. And also don't forget to try their desserts which are just fantabulous!! We ordered the fried ice cream and it was my first time trying it. Love love love it!! The portions are huge so we ended up sharing all the dishes :)

Came here while waiting for a co-worker's volleyball tournament to finish next door. The food was good, as well as the drink, and the staff was very helpful. It's always touch-and-go finding decent Mexican in obscure towns but this place was solid. A bit hard to find and off the beaten path but it's definitely worth a stop if you;re in town and craving some Mexican food.

3 Margaritas is an outstanding restaurant! I not only say that because the food is amazing and authentic, but the staff and service are impeccable! I always order the Mexican Trio and it seems to get better every time! They always stay open a later for guests and their catering is top notch! I recommend 3 Margaritas to anyone looking for great Mexican food!
(4)Erik S.
My daughter found a cockroach in her food. She almost ate it thinking it was a black bean at first. Needless to say, we will never go back to 3 cucarachas I mean margaritas.

We usually have no problem with this restaurant or the food. Unfortunately, we went on 12/23 and had something unusual happen. As I chewing a bite of my bean burrito, I felt something hard in my mouth. When I spit it out to see what it was, I was baffled. It was a PEBBLE! It was about the size of the pebbles that get stuck in the bottoms of your shoes or in the tread of your tires. I caught the server's attention and told him what I found and asked if I could have another burrito. What are the odds of two pebble burritos? I can't even imagine how the rock ended up in either the beans or green chile, but I'm extremely glad I didn't break a tooth! I don't know if the server told management, but I was fairly disappointed that nothing was really done about it. I wasn't expecting a free meal or anything, but maybe a sincere apology? I'm short, the food is tasty, but look out for falling rocks!
(3)Amy S.
atmosphere was fun and staff was friendly that's the reason for my stars. The food. ..eh, ok. Very basic flavors nothing popping or outstanding. I dont see me going back at those prices for OK food.
(3)Claudia A.
Great restaurant with authentic fresh food drinks are delicious management is excellent the staff was very friendly. highly recommend deserves more than a 5 star. Prices are pretty good specially on Drinks. This is my favorite restaurant in Denver will definitely come back. Would love to have one in south florida.
(5)Steven Z.
Service was great. We sat outside where there didn't appear to be a server but they let us sit out there on request and the guy did a great job keeping the drinks full and making sure we were doing good. I'd be back for the service but I'm not a fan of the food.
(3)Maggie L.
We love Louis! Or Casper as they call him! He's so personable and good at multitasking. We eat Mexican a lot and I love the quesadillas and the mixture they bring out with the salsa. Delicious!
(5)Monica Thomas T.
Walked in to find fresh corn tortillas being made and they were yummy. Food was typical american mexican but tasty. Service was good and good deals for kids menu. Televisions in the restaurant. Margaritas weren't bad but not much flavor. Only reaso I would go back is because of the fresh tortillas.
(3)Leah L.
great food great service. amazing fajitas salad. could not eat it all. will come back
(4)Tina P.
Excellent service, friendly, fast. Went in at lunch, seated right away, got our food quickly. Nice bright colorful decor. The food is just so-so, not horrible but not great.
(3)Jim V.
Not bad by any means, but nothing special. Service is usually pretty good, food is pretty tasty.
(3)Leahrae A.
Truly disappointed. I LOVE the 3 Margaritas off Wads and Bellevue. So I was expecting the same great chicken quesadilla and margaritas. The chicken quesadilla here had no taste whatsoever, no flavor. The margarita was "ok." The waiter did try to compensate us for the margarita, but it still wasn't the same. We won't go back here again. We will stick with the one we love.

I don't expect much from corporate restaurants, but the food here was absolutely disgusting! Mexican food is pretty easy to make, so how you can turn some chorizo, melted cheese and onions into something that's isn't even edible is beyond me. This was the first and last time I will ever eat there. Gross!!
(1)Christian S.
This was the first place I ate at when I moved to CO! I stopped here on my way west and had been driving with my husband and pup for 18 hours! They were so friendly and welcoming to a tired couple who needed a good meal. The manager took us around the outside and seated us there and let us bring our little dog on the porch with us to eat. All the waitstaff was super friendly and attentive and the food was awesome! I had tortilla soup, my husband had chicken enchiladas, and our puppy had a chicken taco:) all of which were good. We were very appreciative to have had such a wonderful experience as our first in our new home:)

**NEW: After our last visit, I deducted a star. The service was horrible. The restaurant was not busy but it took our server forever to get anything for us and he never even checked on us. We had to go find someone else to even ask for the check cause we got tired of waiting. In addition, on our second visit we were not given the beans that go with the chips and salsa. This place just isn't consistent. I have had a very hard time finding good enchiladas in Colorado, and this place finally hit the spot. I got the enchiladas deluxe, but I subbed corn tortillas (because a, I'm gluten free, and b, WHO IN THE HELL MAKES ENCHILADAS WITH FLOUR TORTILLAS?). Not 100% authentic Mexican food, but still delicious. My hubby got the t-bone steak and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Cooked perfectly. He said the only thing he didn't like was that the mushrooms and onions on the side had been cooked in A1 sauce. Strange for a Mexican place if you ask me, plus A1 is pretty gross. They should switch to a basic garlic marinade. I'm preggo so I couldn't enjoy any of their drinks, but every other table in the place had some version of a margarita, so I assume they're good. The service was great as well. Just fast enough, not annoying, and the server called us amigos, which I love. The salsa was fresh. Medium, but not too hot. A bit watery for my liking but still good. Overall, we've decided we'll be back to 3 margaritas.

I'm a lover of 3 margaritas. They are all independently owned and all just a little different. This one is excellent. The green chili is a little thicker than I've had,was very rich tasting. I had a burrito loco filled with steak, beans, rice, smothered served with sour cream and guacamole. My friend had Camerones diabla, shrimp in a spicy sauce, both things were excellent. The service was great and I had a Sangria that was very refreshing. I will be back!!!

This is a relatively new location, located at the end of a little strip mall and across the parking lot west of Starbucks. Inside, the decor is typical for 3 Margaritas. I won't lie, the food is worth about 3 stars. I recently ordered the t-bone steak meal, as I really wanted margaritas and not the accompanying Mexican fare. My meal came with sauteed mushrooms (didn't want the onions), which were the best thing of the plate. The t-bone was kind of bland, and if they had actually put the mushrooms over the steak, or used some of the same spices for the steak, it would have greatly improved the steak. The margaritas were not original, but having the blackberry and coconut ones made me tipsy for about an hour or two. I haven't had a drink in nearly a year, so they did it for me. My husband was happy with their regular on the rocks margarita, which he described as "a shot of margaritas." The reason the restaurant gets four stars overall is the service and atmosphere. The employees are friendly. They greet you right away when you walk in. We haven't had to wait for a table yet, but that could be because they're still very new. Our servers have been pretty good overall. One gave me a flower for mother's day, which was nice. They also gave my young son a balloon, which he thoroughly appreciated. As you leave, nearby employees make it a point to wish you a good night. We will come back. Great service helps bridge the gap for mediocre food. Once I find an awesome dish from the menu, I will stick with that. Until then, I'll just keep trying various stuff off the menu.

We had a horrible meal and service. We waited & waited for service when the waiter finally came we asked for water. They brought the chips & salsa but still did not get our water. The meal finally came and had to ask for the water again after 30 minutes of waiting. The food was horrible they must buy low quality meat and produce cause it had no flavor and was tuff and the lettuce was rusty. We never seen the waiter again so did not even get a refill on the water. Waited and waited to get our check finally had to go stand at the counter to pay, buy this time I was starting to feel sick from what we had eaten had to spend 10 minutes in the restroom before I could leave as I was sick from the meal. We will never go back to any of the locations, we could have gotten a better meal at Taco Bell.

My boyfriend summed it up pretty well: "This is Mexican food for white people." Well, yes. I'm from the south, where we have an abundance of these type of restaurants. The food is dumbed down, lots of things are deep fried, the servers all wear ties, a lot of mullets and crying babies to be found, etc. I'm not going to lie and say that I'm an expert in Mexican cuisine, because I'm not. But the food here in my opinion is just not that good. I've eaten here a few times, as the Mexican options in good ole' Wheat Ridge are pretty sparse. On the latest trip, BF and I shared a taco salad and chipotle burrito. Both were pretty "meh". The chips and salsa are ok. If someone could recommend a good Mexican place in NW Denver, I would be forever grateful!
(2)Eric R.
The staff was super friendly. I felt the quality of Mexican food was pretty generic and the environment over stimulated. I would compare the quality of food just below what you would expect at Applebee's. There is a descent selection of alcohol.
(2)Donna N.
Service is always friendly and efficient! Jorge welcomes us and makes sure we have everything we need! Eric is awesome also! All the staff is accommodating. The food is delicious. I am pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food and this is my favorite place. We often have the Chicken Taquitos or Quesadillas.. both appetizers are enough to be a meal! I recently brought family who were visiting and they loved their meals. We'll be back soon!
(5)Bradley L.
It doesn't matter which outlet you go to, they are all very good. They have great food and good service at all restaurants. I have been to CO and AZ restaurants and the quality and consistency has been the same for years. Some of the best Mexican food around and it is a chain. Way to go! Provecho!!!
(4)Daniel B.
Not good. The enchilada sauce was sweet like ketchup.
(2)Roger D.
Stopped here on our way through Denver to the mountains and were pleasantly surprised how wonderful it was! Food was good, service was speedy and attentive. Reasonably priced. It was great!!
(5)beth m.
I've yet to have a bad meal at ANY of the 3 margaritas restaurants. My favorite thing is their albondagas soup. OMG.....SO GOOD!
